In the film, All About Eve , a tragic accident brings beautiful starlet Margo Channing to a near-comatose state. Suddenly, she says something that hits home with the film's director. He realizes that is what he wants from her, and he rushes into her house to tell her so. We all want someone to love us when we fail, and the movie is about how one woman was able to pick herself up and be happy again. The irony is that Margo may have been a lot better at acting if she had tried to pick herself up after every false start.
